The PreFab Modular Data Center Systems have been driving a tremendous growth to the segment during the last years. The PreFab Data Center Systems Line of Business integrates Schneider products into modular enclosures, test the systems in the factory and deliver the final solution to the country of destination.

As Technical Leader you will be accountable for the technical solutions delivered to customers. You will be the primary technical point of contact for meetings and interviews with clients during the tender and design phase. You will be responsible for managing the design proposals, specifications, drawings, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost implications, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. You will identify the project requirements, provide design solutions to meet the customer and site requirements, and ensure the customers best interests are protected during the project. As part of the engineering team, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team on medium and large technical complexity projects.

Main Responsibilities:

During Tender Phase, the Technical Leader will be responsible of:

Participate in the programming of the project with the customer or customer representative to understand and document the owners project requirements (OPR).

Manage appropriate design documents to support the proposal and allow the estimating team to assemble cost for the proposal. These design documents should identify at a minimum the following as applicable:


Identify major infrastructure equipment;


Bid specifications for the major/long lead equipment;


Space and site layout;


Load calculations;


System diagrams (electrical single lines, mechanical piping diagrams, etc.).

Manage review of major equipment quotes for technical compliance from vendors. (Estimating team shall be responsible for soliciting and gathering the quotes).

Provide support to estimate and develop the final design documents and production administration as appropriate for the project.

Solicit, review, and approve sub-consultant proposals to provide a complete set of design documents for the project.

Provide the technical narrative for the critical infrastructure to be incorporated into the proposal.

Working with solutions sales teams and potential customers to help qualify customer needs.

Performing design improvements primarily to support upgrades and efficient solutions in conjunction with client needs.

Working with the various application centers to select optimized products, software, and overall solutions for projects.

During Tender Phase, the Technical Leader will be responsible of:

Utilizing engineering skills and applicable codes and standards to implement systems that are safe, reliable, and economical.

Takes the OPR to develop the basis of design (BOD) for the project to include, but not limited to:


Design intent.


Capacity requirements.


Project ambient/unique conditions.


System sequence of operation (SOO).


System expansion capabilities based on project phasing requirements.

Identify applicable codes and ordinances for the project location and occupancy type.

Capture site conditions. Being available to travel to meet customers on-site to review and identify their needs.

Defining technical architecture and providing technical support and quality control for assigned projects.

Managing project timeline commitments to customers and ensuring long-term client relationships.

Manage the design documents for approvals and production.

Coordinate with sub-consultants to ensure cohesion of the design documents.

Facilitate progress meetings with the design team and with the customer.

Work with the construction team and project scheduler for constructability review.

Provide support to the construction team to secure permits.

During Production and Delivery Phase, the Technical Leader will be responsible of:

Manage the support and response to request for information (RFI).

Provide regular onsite assessment.

Participate in recurring construction meeting as required in the contract.

Assist the production team for clarification, changes, corrections, value engineering, etc. of the design documents for unforeseen site conditions or customer requests.

Provide assistance to the production/project management team for change order requests.

Manage as-builts drawings at the end of the project from redlines provided by the production team and site verification.

职位描述:

Work closely with project team (project leaders, industrialization team, R&D and Schneider Plant) and supplier, following Schneider PMP procedure, SPS requirements, to identify, analyze and to define the quality control plan/target for C/SA (components & subassembly), product and process.

Involve in design RA (risk analysis) process (DFMEA & CTQ/CTP) at design phase. Review & consummate the technical spec with designer for electronic parts concerning to industrial rules and quality control. Working with mechanical engineer to finish RA for mechanical parts and define the PPAP for supplier & Schneider plant quality control purpose.

Lead PPEP process, work closely with project team, Schneider plant SQE and supplier to develop their mfg process for Schneider parts. Translate the spec to supplier, and make sure they fully understand the requirements and commit to deliver consistent quality parts to Schneider. Define necessary quality control & inspection for in process quality control and final quality control purpose. Follow Schneider PMP stage gates, evaluate, check and validate their implement of process, action & deliverable, and quality performance, lead mfg process final qualification base on the defined qualification plan. Make sure PPEP can be close before FG pilot run.

Base on the input from design, and the study on the mockups (DFx), organize risk analysis (PFMEA) meeting to identify and evaluate the potential risks from industrial (assembly, quality & safety, etc.) point of view at the earlier phase of design, find the chance of improvement at the beginning. Define and follow up the actions to make sure all risk are identified and under control, poka-yoke design is implement for part, product and process. And help plant quality to build Process Quality Control Plan and implement the control on production line. Finalize APQP per Schneider APQP template and transfer to plant quality.

Involve in assembly line and test design, implement and validate, input product & process Risk Analysis result. Support assembly & test engineer to pre-qualify the line, test equipment and improvement, and do the final qualification during pilot run. Through quality data analysis to find the chance of improvement for process and equipment.

Support IPL for ODM project, define manufacture quality goal, identify quality risk through PFMEA, review product, process & component quality control plan, verify ODM follow up. Monitor issues during design phase, manager issues status at IND side, lead issues resolving between suppliers and Schneider.

Experience:

Good quality sense, and well know the principle and methodology of Quality Management & improvement. Essential knowledge on ISO, RoHS and REACH regulation.

Good command of quality tools (including but not limited to FMEA, SPC, MSA), statistics analysis to find the trend/performance of quality data, and the chance for improvement.

Electrical/electronic/electromechanical mfg background with good experience on product & process quality, product test or failure analysis. Knowledge or experience on tooling and mechanical assembly process.

Have basic knowledge on EE component, PCB, Mechanical part, can read mechanical drawing.
